Our First Summer Adventure

We traveled to Bear Mt. State Park in Bear Mountain, NY. It took two hours to get to - scratch that it took more like three hours to get to it. This was due to the fact that they "have no real physical address" as the lady that answered the phone said when we called because no GPS or Blackberry could help us find it.
After we arrived we walked to the Zoo. It is small but the girls enjoyed it. They had bears, otters, snakes, and other animals native to the area. We then went to the picnic area near the lake to have lunch. It was very beautiful and the weather was great!

Then we headed to the pool, which involved following a trail that lead under the road. You can look out over the pool, which looked very clean. We then paid a nominal fee and went downstairs to the locker rooms to change. O.M.G. That was a big mistake, it is despicable! The pool was surprisingly warm and very clean. However, due to the condition of the locker room we will not return. The girls did enjoy the pool.

We the decided to do some shopping at Woodbury Commons Outlets. This was fun as we have never been there. I couldn't believe how many stores there were. The girls got some sandals, I got sneakers and Dave got a DVD player.
We then had dinner and headed home. We didn't get home till about 10.
